You want a real health issue? Check this out.

A very close friend of mine works in a small plant. Over the past six months one employee has been ill, coughing and hacking.

The employee was hospitalized on Saturday with a very advanced case of tuberculosis and is in critical condition.

Well my friend was at our home on Saturday, I was helping him to understand a complex communication cable wiring issue. He was coughing and hacking.

Now this little plant only has about 45 employees.

Wrap your head around how many people have been exposed to this little outbreak.

Yeah, I got the call from my friend this evening per instructions from healthcare officials.

So, have you had your arm pricked for exposure, or, since you know you were exposed (and health community knows) are you taking the tablets to prevent contracting the disease?

Our friend's daughter had to take the tablets for a year.

Will the health people hold a press conference and warn, "If you were at xxx or came into contact with xxx, come get tested?"
They did that for the teacher/students in Ennis a year or so ago.

Wow, be careful.

I had a stubborn cough earlier this year. Luckily it finally went away. Guess I should have gone to the doctor anyway after seeing this.

Crocmommy, I have a couple friends who had a terrible cough for about 6 - 9 weeks. All 3 of them had various tests and nothing out of the ordinary was found except "lingering virus". All are better now.

That sounds about like what I had. It started during April tax season and took a while to go away.

Sorry to hear that, Steve. I hope you, your friend and everyone working at the plant will be OK.

Mark Levin has been talking about this for awhile, and he admittedly got the story from another person who has been talking about it for years: third-world, previously eradicated diseases coming back into this country, being reintroduced by illegals. TB is at the top of the list, along with measles, smallpox, etc.

Sorry that all involved in your plight may be the victims of our failed border security.

My Mom received a Swine Flu shot during the panic years ago. Gerald Ford was president. She was one of the ones who had a terrible reaction to it and ended up in the hospital in critical condition. I went to Pennsylvania. One morning when I walked into her room, she was crying. They'd told her she had TB and she thought they'd send her off to a sanitarium. I explained that they didn't do that anymore. As it turns out, she didn't have it. She was actually one of the ones who died of the Swine Flu shot.

Ann, I am sad to hear of your mother's death and why she died.
Awful, awful, awful.

Hope it's not lung cancer, he might wish for TB. Sounds like my stepfather before he was diagnosed. Have I mentioned how much I hate cigarettes?
