The latest drama from Sanger

On Sunday night the ex-con across the street, and his live-in had a screaming match in the front yard. It ended when he ordered her to shut up her bitching and go cook dinner.

On Monday she packed her stuff, and was gone before he got home from work.

Monday night Sanger police converged on the neighbors house to the west. This kid and his wife are really nice,and have three little kids. She works and he is trying to be a general contractor. Every tool he owns is in the bed of his truck or on a trailer ready for the next job.They foiled a couple of thieves a few moths back, he heard some commotion outside and when he checked on it the thieves dropped what they had and ran.

I finally saw him today and asked if he had had another dose of thieves, nope he said the wife had a bad day at work, she was on the porch when he got home and fuming, he asked what the problem was. He told me she had issues at work, then when she picked up the kids their little boy had gotten into a fight at day care.

Then he said thats when I did the dumbest thing I have ever done, I said what did you do? He said did you hear the fight they had across the street Sunday? Yup, I said, did you notice her car is no longer there? He said he did notice that.

So I asked OK what was the dumb thing you did?

I thought it would be funny to say "Shut up your bitching and go cook dinner."

Thats when she called 911

Their problem worked out, by the time the cops got there she got the joke, just took them about an hour to convince Sanger's finest it was just a misunderstanding.

A similar episode occurred years ago at a multi-family campout on BIL's land on the Guadalupe River. BIL was supposed to be in charge of grilling/cooking the evening meal with the menfolk, but he was drinking and pontificating way past sundown. SIL got very upset, and yelled words that are now a catchphrase in the family. "GET OFF YOUR F#$%ing A$$ and COOK!!!

Words that are still used even at more formal family gatherings such as Thanksgiving and Christmas...

Sounds strange to me that she just called 911 over that comment. I can see how it would hack her off, but I don't see why call the police unless he laid hands on her.
