Daughter finally got some meaningful playing time on Sunday against the Citadel. She rotated in the second set; immediately had a hitting error. But she also had a block, then a kill. She actually started the third set; and played well. WCU won in three. She ended up with 2 kills and 6 blocks (tied for match high). We got to watch on the SoCon digital network over the internet; in retrospect, it is probably funny to be yelling and clapping at a computer screen...

There were no expectations that she would play at all this year; but even so, it has been tough for her. She is doing very well in her classes; and she is getting along well with her roommate and her freshman teammates.

Son is no longer starting at LT; they are playing the JC tackle exclusively there. He has been rotating at right tackle; he got more snaps than the other guy on Saturday; and Purdue had long td drives on the 3 of the 4 series when he played. He had a very good block that sprung a 36 yard run that was mentioned on the tv broadcast; that was neat.
