As I are sure you are aware, the market has been dropping significantly over the last few weeks and has now put us close to our sell point.

Right now I think it is prudent for all of us to begin packing our bags and preparing for an exit. I still do not think that we are going to be selling but what I think and what the market does are not always the same. That is why it is so important to have a defensive strategy in place that overrides everything.

Our sell strategy is similar to a tornado warning. Just because the siren goes off does not mean we are going to get hit by a tornado. However, when the siren goes off, you seek shelter. Ignoring the warnings would put your life at risk. At this point I am not ready to sound the alarm (sorry for the mixed metaphors), but since we are getting this close, it makes sense to start getting ready.

I recommend that you look over your portfolio and make sure that you are ready to sell when the time comes, and we are getting very close. You need to be looking at all of your holdings and preparing your game plan for what you are going to do.

For many of you this is going to be a tedious and difficult exercise, which is why you should consider coming in and visiting with one of our financial advisors as soon as possible to review your portfolio and see where you might be at risk.

The old t-shirt that said “I am a professional, don’t try this at home” applies here. Your financial security is not something that you should leave to chance. There are few things in life that are more important than your finances and protecting them should be a very high priority for you. Don’t you agree?

I think that "cookie man" will pull the trigger at 20%. If it does turn around and head back up, you will never hear of him again.
