I would vote yes. If it can help a chemo patient with nausea or help someone else with an illness, why keep it from them?

I'd vote for anyone to have any pain relieving drug necessary; heroine, meth, whatever.

With one HUGE caveat:

Any doctor caught dispensing for any reason except verifiable painful illness would have their license revoked for 5 years, no exceptions. Any person found to have an unneeded prescription: 10,000.00 fine. That should keep, for the most part, the drugs where they are intended.

I wouldn't vote for any legalization that would have our state swimming in drugs for recreation.

I'd legalize it across the board.

Do something as stupid as that and Texas turns into Colorado. Before you throw a bunch of Liberal BS at me, ask yourself this: If Colorado is so good for making pot legal, why would Denver ban and put down Pit Bulls? Sorry, no sale. Before you ask, yes. I smoked a lot of pot years ago.

I don't have any problem with medical marijuana...

And before we poo poo Colorado and the other states who have de-criminalized recreational marijuana; let's objectively look at crime statistics, tax revenues, and other relevant data before we start making decisions about whether Texas should de-criminalize weed...

And the voters of Texas should be allowed to make the final decision...

The war on drugs has been as fruitful as the war on poverty. It is a huge waste of time and effort criminalizing a plant.

John, get real. I agree with you about the war on poverty, drugs, etc. But as a truck driver that has to dodge drunk drivers all the time ( and see the carnage they cause) I do not want to dodge a bunch of stoners on the highways. And the ban I spoke of is a Pit Bull Ban Denver enacted a few years ago. Not edible dope.

I would support it if it can be prescribed for specified Illness and not just a headache. I had a friend cancer that got it and it helped with the nausea.
I understand it helps with lowering the pressure in the eyes caused by gulocona (spelling)

Indeed, Yes!

My wife, Rita, lives in enormous pain every day of her life. I would try anything, legal or not, to see if it would reduce her pain. Customary pain killers are not effective for her, and there is always the addictive thing hanging out there on those.

You don't get addicted to Cannibas.

My exposure to medical marijuana came thru my nephew. He was diagnosed with a brain tumor about 2 1/2 years ago. He did the normal
radiation, chemo-therapy things. It kept growing. After his docs told him it was just a matter of time he and his wife decided to
take a trip to Colorado with their sons. Sort of a last vacation/memory building thing. While there some of the local folks suggested
that he see a local doctor.

The doc said he could not stop the progression but he could help with the symptoms. (severe headaches, nausea, seizures, memory problems)
He suggested oils and patches.

Randy continued to do what his docs suggested but also used the oils and patches. The growth of the tumor slowed down. The other symptons
improved.

Bottom line back in the spring Randy and his wife needed help. For about 3 months I was with them @ 90% of the time. He finally told his docs
what he was doing and they all supported his decision. He finally died in early June. The quality of his life was improved.

Cancer is a real bitch! If anyone can get help thru using marijuana products they should. If it ever comes about for folks I love, I will make sure they get
help. Even if it is illegal.
