Hard to tell what happened..or why.

He's certainly guilty of being an idiot, if nothing else.

Airport..not the place to be starting a fight..or any kind of hassle with anyone.

If you're serious, what evidence is that the guy that got kicked and punched was gay.

Having said that, I certainly suspect he was not kicked and punched for nothing.

As soon as I heard it reported as a "homophobic" assault.

Ok, sorry..I didn't hear that.

I was trying real hard to understand the guy that was being handcuffed..this Yankee could not understand a word he said.

Best I could tell, the ass who did the kicking....began to yell at the man leaning on the counter about taking his photo. Other man asked why he was yelling. He yelled that it was because of the faggot taking his photo and then kicked the man he called a faggot...whereupon several folks jumped the ass and wrestled him to the ground.

Leading to:
*How did he establish the man was gay? (might be a sterotypes, but that doesn't mean he is gay.)
*How could he be certain the man was photographing HIM? (could be photoing others in the airport, no guarantee it is the perp)
*Is being gay reason to be kicked? (Not unless he made advances on you)

If I had to guess, I'd guess drugs and/or alcohol were involved.

Here's the way I see it:

The perp is obviously drunk and making a fool of himself. So, Mr. Pinkshirt starts taking video of him with his phone. Mr. Jim Beam gets irritated by Mr. Pinkshirt videotaping him, and says something to him about that.

Mr. Pinkshirt, who is old enough to know that drunk people are irrational but appears to be a clueless moron, continues to tease the bear (by videotaping). Mr. Cowboy Hat sees what is going on and intervenes, distracting Mr. Beam. Mr. Pinkshirt, who is obviously a complete and total dumb*ss, then gets in Mr. Beam's face and starts gleefully taking more video.

That's when Mr. Beam loses it.

Mr. Beam has no excuse for his actions and needs to go to jail. Mr. Pinkshirt already got what he had coming to him for being a dumb*ss.

If you don't have enough sense to not mess with a drunk redneck, then you probably need an *ss-whoopin'.

Pretty good assessment..and you didn't even feel the need to put anyone in a "protected victim" group!

Channel 8 had a follow up story..........seems the man who was doing the yelling had 100 drinks before heading to the airport. At the airport, he began to verbally abuse the airline clerk at the desk. The man in the pink shirt called him out on yelling at the desk clerk...and it went downhill from there.

Not well enough, apparently.
I wondered who provided the number....the drunk man?

I don't think the exact number is really relevant. That guy was so wasted he made Foster Brooks look sober as a judge.

There are a thousand drunks arrested every day for disorderly conduct.
This guy is getting the attention because he went after a homosexual.
He's lucky. If he had gone after a Muslim, he'd be facing 25 to life.
