Usually no. Only on special occasions (funeral, etc), but most times not then either.

I WILL jump under with my wife if its' really coming down.

My husband, much taller than I am, will show manners and offer to carry the umbrella..............which leaves short me in the rain, and he is nice and dry.

I'm not even a "guy" but I don't care to fool with umbrellas. They don't really keep you dry especially if there's any wind. I'd just prefer to use one of my all weather coats if it's raining enough to need one.

Me either Croc.

I have one in my car and guess if I had to be presentable then I would use it for a long walk to a venue but I don't have to be presentable so I don't bother.

Well, Orphie, I guess Dub needs to be more presentable than you and I so he carries an umbrella? I'm thinking it may be a metrosexual thing...
