Drove up today to work tomorrow. While checking into the hotel, two well dressed, distinguish looking older black men walked up to the desk and interrupted the process.
If their request had been something like "Help the toilet is running over in our room" I would understand.
No they crashed into our conversation with "How do we get to Ferguson from here?"
The desk guy gave them a general description of where Ferguson was.
When they left I inquired why he gave them wrong info.
He replied that the hotel had been overrun with those same type guests and that they all had an identical demeanor, rude. He said if they would have waited till we finished he would have given them a hand drawn map,but rude people get the same treatment that they deserve.

Re: Howdy from St. Louis
Did he direct them to East St. Louis?
A bad peace inevitably leads to a worse war.
Re: Howdy from St. Louis
Lol...I have fond memories of East St. Louis. We stopped at the only gas station I've seen where they keep mini bottles of liquor (hard stuff) in fish bowl containers next to the cash register. About 10 min. after we left, I told my husband that I needed a restroom stop. He actually asked me why I didn't go while we were there. He didn't have an answer to "Would you have really wanted me to use those at that place...."
Good for that desk clerk giving those guys what they deserved.
Oh...and it is COLD up there?
