Explain this to me

All of the talking heads are lining up against the NYPD for the death of Eric Garner. Choke hold, he says he can't breathe, they should have backed off.
He was asthmatic, over weight, had been arrested over thirty times, he was breaking a stupid law,(passed by stupid lawmakers in NYC), he knew the drill and yet he chose this time to resist arrest, he told police you can't handcuff me.
Well I saw the video, it was clearly not a choke hold, he was resisting arrest, he didn't deserve to die for selling single cigarettes on the street, but he was breaking the law, the cops were called by local store owners because he was restricting access to their stores.
The sargent in charge of this arrest was a black woman.
It wasn't racist, it was a man that decided he didn't want to go to jail and made the choice to resist arrest in the face of overwhelming odds against him winning this fight.
So why are the talk show hosts and politicians backing Eric ?
PSA to criminals, if the police tell you to assume the position and you do as your told, you wont be taken to the ground as you're being arrested.
Oh and by the way if you're a protester, the hands up don't shoot thing is a lie.

First, Michael Brown needed to be dead.
Other than that, I am having a little difficulty understanding why the choke hold cops are not in big trouble.

When the cop tells you, "you're coming with me". And you decide no, I'm not doing anything wrong and I ain't going, just what in the hell do you think is gonna happen? The cop gonna say well thats ok stand here and we will be on our way.
Is the black community special or privileged or STUPID?
Obama, holder, DeBlasio, etal seem to think crime is in degrees, lessor for some, greater for others and perfectly legal for those who decide to they know better.
Both "victims" are dead because of their wrong choices And a few honest citizens on a grand jury said so.

What shouldn't happen happened. .
A gaggle of cops ganging up on an older person, obviously in poor health, choking him with a prohibited procedure and crushing his face into the concrete. This kind of thing is probably an everyday occurance. The only thing different is somebody was there with a video camera.

You're coming with us or we can choke you out until you're dead?
I'm not with that.
But also for me, the "selling illegal cigarettes" bit..
"Illegal" meaning..the IRS isn't getting their cut.
I'm not going to team up with the IRS against citizens.
But no one seems to care about that angle..just me.

No, it's a city or state tax of $ 5.85 PER PACK! That is ridiculous and like Prohabition, just creates an economic incentive to break the law.

Well, whatever..I'm not with the cops tackling people for avoiding or evading taxes.
I'd rather tackle the people that created the taxes.

What should have happened is he should have complied with lawful commands from the police, then he wouldn't be dead. What any episode of COPS and you will see the poor abused criminal, while being arrested after resisting, screaming that the officers are hurting him, while he still struggles.
I guess, via the logic presented, that if a criminal complains of pain the police should immediately render first aid.
Overweight and in poor health? Don't refuse arrest and you'll be fine.
The illegal cigarettes has nothing to do with the IRS, it is a stupid law in NYC. Garner purchased the product from another state who's tax is lower than New York, he paid that state's tax and was reselling that product in conflict with a New York law.
The black female sargent could have stopped the officers at any time, she did not.
Remember he had a long criminal history.

.
Yes..but what you never saw..was someone ended up dead while barely getting the words "I can't breathe" out.
I'm quite sure that would have been the end of of the show and all of their careers.

43 is an older person ?
A Hickory Massage might have been more effective in this case, but most effective arrest techniques have been eliminated by the "do Gooders".
The NG and LEOs in Ferguson stand by while the Town is burned and looted, and this fat bastard is wrestled to the ground and taken in for selling a loose cigarette. Only in Amerika !

If it was a choke hold, how could he talk??? Even if it was, all he had to do was stop resisting.

There were 5 cops standing around. How many cops does it take to handcuff someone?
It's good this didn't happen in Dallas, all 5 cops would have emptied their guns on him here.

I am always hearing that if we legalize all drugs and just tax and regulate them like we do tobacco that the illegal traffic would be put out of business. In the case of tobacco all it has done is create an illegal traffic.
