Thought it might be interesting to start keeping track here over time. The cheapest gas by my house is a QT for 2.25 gallon.

Duh...you guys...they have a big sign outside the gas station showing the price every time you stop by there...

So that's why those big signs are there.

It used to matter to me the cost per gallon. No more, when I realized that even a dime cheaper per gallon, for my truck, a fill up was 3 bucks less. It's not worth the time to even go a couple of blocks out of the way.

For those of us that live and work in the every day world, lower fuel prices are the very best thing that could happen. I universally drives down the cost of living.

I have a commuting college student so I would much rather have lower gas prices than a few extra bucks in my retirement fund.

As the energy industry and the investment banking industry goes in the tank, it's going to cost you a whole lot more that what you save in the gas tank.
