Posting times

Why are the posting times shown on each post at least an hour different than the actual TX time? There are recent posts that say 9:16 PM and it's 8:33 in Dallas right now.

Click on User Control Panel above, select the Board Preferences tab, select Edit Global Settings then click on No beside Summer Time/DST is in effect and finally click on Submit:
The correct time should show up now.

So everyone has to do that to get the correct time to show up? That's ridiculous, but maybe I'm the only one that something being incorrect is bothered by it.
