Romney to GOP donors: ‘I want to be president.’

I predicted this back in August on this board. That's when he was saying he wouldn't run. He even sent his family out to say he wouldn't run.
NEVER underestimate Romney's flip-flop-ability. He's wired that way.
BTW- I'll vote for him. He's not what I want, but he'll be the best available.

A Bush/Portman ticket gives you Florida and Ohio. How does Romney improve on that?

I don't know, but I wouldn't vote for Bush. I'd sit it out.
I wouldn't vote for Perry, either.

I allowed the Republican cheerleaders to talk me into voting for Romney in 2012. I'll not do that again. He is a squish that believes in the power of Big Government. He may as well be a Bush.
Of the Republican field, give me Scott Walker or Ted Cruz. Otherwise, I am returning to voting third party.

It's probably you third party voters that have put us in the crap we're now in with Obama as president.

Scott Walker is my favorite by a long shot.
But I could vote for any of them..though Jeb Bush is by far the worst choice of the Republicans for me.
But all one needs to do is say.."let's see..Jeb?..or another Obama type."
I'm an idiot if I can't find the better of the two.

I also am adult enough to know I may never get my first choice in ANY election.
The world doesn't revolve around ME.
(I know what you're thinkin'..it probably should)

Actually, it's the Republican establishment and George Bush that put us in this position. They sucked between 2001 and 2007, and Obama/Reid/Pelosi was the result.

I think they did exactly what they intended to do, pull off a "new pearl harbor". That is why you are not allowed to know what was in the 28 pages that are redacted in the 9/11 report.

I'm afraid I agree.
Another GOP president like Bush and we'll have a Democrat government for the rest of our lives.

Based on the borrow and spend mentality in DC I find it impossible to differentiate between the D's and R's.
Romney , any Bush , Perry need to walk into the sunset of political life never to be heard from again.

I'd vote for any of these men before any of the 3rd party candidates or sit it out to give it to Hillary

As long as we keep voting for squishy establishment candidates, we'll keep getting squishy establishment leadership.

We almost always get the best candidates that money can buy.
