Here Is The Most Disproportionately Popular Cuisine In Each State
http://tinyurl.com/o5jhmfw Texas
Tex-Mex -- 174 percent higher than national average.
Cajun -- 171 percent higher than national average.
BBQ -- 89 percent higher than national average.
Mexican -- 85 percent higher than national average.
Chicken wings -- 64 percent higher than national average.
IMO, the west coast favorites are very surprising.

The site is about how much people in certain states like certain foods more than they like the same foods in other states.
So, the Caifornia list is accurate. No question California has stronger ties and relates more to Japan, China, Korea etc than the rest of the country.
Likewise, the Northeast has stronger ties to Europe.

In my case, at least once a week I'm having Thai, Filipino, Vietnamese, Chinese or Korean food..often more than once.

I wonder what real Texans eat. I'd ask one, but I don't know any.
