My son bought a Ford 600 1959 model with a John Deere 5' brush hog, 5' blade and a 6' jib! All four tires are new and she runs like a dream! We mowed all weekend! I think I may sell my Moline UB Propane!

I broke a shear pin off the brush hog yesterday. I have never had that happen.

Closest I could come to a picture was a Model 601. Does this look like yours?

I am clearing out the area where the tornado hit and the loggers made a bigger mess. When I get back in there, I have helper waking ahead to point out stumps.

I got a bid yesterday to bring in a dozier and track hoe to do it the right way.

We had a Ford tractor when I was a kid. It wasn't nearly as heavy duty as our John Deere and Farmall tractors, and dad mostly used it for light work like mowing. It was fun to get it out on the road and air it out. That little rascal would scoot.

It is a mowing tractor! It will pull a two row plow and disc. I'll plant a couple of acres next spring and see how it does!

I have great memories of riding on the rear fender of my great uncles' Ford 8N tractor...

One of the things on my bucket list is to acquire and restore one....

We have a 600 Ford and I would love to have that blade on it. When I worked for TP&L on the right of way crew, we had a Ford 4400 set up like that. We would run with the blade four to six inches off the ground. Better to find that stump or that two ft tall ant bed with the blade than with the mower deck. :o Great for building creek crossings too.

Speaking of creek crossings, I am looking for two metal culverts!

I think I may sell my Moline UB propane. It is just too big for my place. The ford is much better!
