I do make baby back ribs that everyone wants me to make. But there's only one place I can consistently get baby backs and that's in Dallas. Kroger only has them occasionally.
Fancy? It used to be Ruth Chris but now I love the Fatted Calf here in Rockwall. I guess the older we get, the less we want to drive and spend the whole evening going to dinner. The Fatted Calf's chef has become a friend. He and my son became friends a couple years ago and last year he invited us to Thanksgiving dinner at his house. I didn't know him then and he finally said "I've slept in your bed and would like to thank you." WHAT?!!!! LOL! Our son took him and his family to our place at the coast. Since I was still in that shoulder sling, it was obvious that I couldn't make Thanksgiving dinner. We went and had not just a wonderful meal but also had a wonderful time. We actually knew a lot of people there.
And now I've made myself hungry......I'll be craving his crab cake..... full of crab and NOT deep fried or coated with breading.

Homemade pizza
Bistro 88 in Austin. Sadly it no longer exists. They had fabulous jalapeno carrot soup. All their food was wonderful.
