He says for a few days--I suspect it will be for as long as Dan Rather has been away from his desk.

I never watched him. If I watch a 5:30 PM network news show it has been ABC for many years.
Fox news channel is my fall back station that I turn to when there is nothing else on I want to watch. The only news channel that tells the truth instead of do-gooding the Obama administrations faults.

I don't watch Williams because I'm still at work during the "evening" news (which comes on actually in the afternoon, but who's clock watching?, but KRLD carries part of his newscast during the 6pm hour and he did other radio reports. I always looked forward to those broadcasts because they were done so well. Now I'm disappointed that someone like him abused the public trust like that.

I hope NBCDNC has a deep bench !

NBC already has enough hard evidence that Williams is a habitual liar. What else do they need?
There is no excuse for not firing him.

I don't know that it makes any difference. All he does is anchor news reports submitted by other people.

Wrong. As the managing editor he has say-so in story selection, position in the newscast, accompanying graphics and video . . .
