... was shot down by an American missile shortly after he reported that American aircraft were dropping weapons to ISIS fighters.

The killed pilot was said to be captured by ISIS militants while flying over the ISIS stronghold of Raqqa, Syria in one of the anti-ISIS air coalition’s strikes on ISIS.
According to the source, The Jordanian pilot noticed that the American aircraft were dropping weapons to ISIS fighters in an organized way. That really struck the pilot, so he reported that to the air force intelligence’s management from his aircraft. Minutes later, the pilot’s F-16AM was engaged by an American missile over an area controlled by ISIS, which made him jump out of his aircraft.
Soon later, U.S. Central Command, the body overseeing the coalition air war over Iraq and Syria, said: ‘Evidence clearly indicates that ISIL did not down the aircraft as the terrorist organization is claiming.’ The statement did not give a cause for the ‘crash,’ in an attempt to raise doubts about the pilot and to imply that he dropped himself intentionally in coordination between him and ISIS. It was a way to close the door over any attempts for investigations to know how the aircraft was down. It was clear from the beginning that there were no attempts to rescue the pilot at that time. Instead, he was left to be taken as a hostage by ISIS. It was known that he would definitely be captivated and would be soon executed and that was the perfect way to silence him. However, this was not the first time to be mentioned that American Planes Routinely Drops weapons to ISIS fighters. - See more at:

Black painted C-130's have been spotted on numerous occasions dropping supplies and weapons to ISIS forces. Who do they belong to if not the US? The ISIS Air Force?

Horse hockey.

The pilot was forced to say all kinds of things on the video that was made prior to his burning. It was reported by Jordanian officials back in December that he was shot down by groundfire.

Well, if it was reported by "Officials", it must be true.

Sorry for the confusing wording, Chuckles.

Numerous news agencies reporting on the incident quoted Jordanian officials who say the aircraft was shot down by groundfire.

There is nothing you can fire from the ground that will bring down a jet plane except for a missile. I haven't heard that ISIS has any kind of SAMs.

Anyone who does not know the difference between "captured" and "captivated" can be dismissed prima facie from consideration as an authoritative and/or serious source.

You are completely FOS, even small arms fire can bring down a Jet if it is low enough and unlucky enough. Not to mention larger AA, the Com-Bloc Zeus etc.

Oh really? Well in that case I'll contact the proper agencies and have them discontinue research on bird strikes.

Firing birds from the ground has been tested and found generally ineffective except for frozen turkeys.

I guess you haven't been paying attention because ISIS does have SAMs.

You have to read that kind of stuff critically. Logicly, if you are fighting a war and being bombed and straffed, wouldn't you use anti air missiles if you had them? If not why not? What are they saving them for? That's why I think they don't have them. Someone may have shot down a helicopter in Iraq, but that doesn't mean ISIS is armed with SAMs and shot down a jet fighter.

.
Lockheed Martin C-130, flown by more than 70 countries worldwide. See also Antonov An-12 and Shaanxi Y-8, aircraft that bear a marked resemblance to the C-130.
