Anybody have ATT Internet? Good or bad? Phone and net package has good price. Fed up with Charter.

Have had ATT for years.
We pay for high speed broadband. Lately it is low speed. Coincidentally, ATT wants us to upgrade to fiber optic.
One person, not trying to upgrade me, had spent some time with me on the slow speed issue.
That person slipped up and told me that I would not be any faster with fiber optic than I am on the current program.

2 of my sisters have Uverse and like it.
One sister gets Direct TV through ATT and is happy.

I'm pleased with my AT&T internet. If you get modem from them, DO NOT....I repeat DO NOT get a 2-Wire modem. Be sure you get a NetGear modem. Over the years, I've gone through 3 or 4 different 2-Wire modems and all of them would reboot on their own, sometimes several times in one day. I've had the NetGear wireless modem for a few months now and it's never rebooted on me.

Thanks, I will remember that. Talked to them again with more questions, all were answered to my satisfaction. Be switching next week.
