I will look for that. I'm currently reading "Rebel Yell - The Violence, Passion, and Redemption of Stonewall Jackson" by S.C.Gwynne. Very complex, interesting & idiosyncratic man.

If you wish to read an excellent, thorough, well-written treatment of this subject, I recommend "A World on Fire" by Amanda Foreman. Although focused primarily on England, she delves deeply and considers issues in a multifaceted way with insightful understanding of the times, places and people--without the scolding and slant.
