Customer just returned my call from 4 this afternoon. He has a broken machine. We have been trouble shooting on the phone. He is in Garland.

I asked about his progress on the machine:

"Oh I left at 3:30"

"Can you come and hook up to the machine to help find the problem?"

Me "Sure, see you Monday"

Him "No the boss wants you to come in the morning"

Me "Sorry I'm not risking an accident"

Him "The boss really wants this thing running"

Me "No way I'm driving in the morning"

Him "The boss said to tell you we need to get it running tomorrow"

Me "Look tell him I don't intend to drive in these conditions"

Him "Well ok, but one more thing, if you change your mind you can go to the bosses house and get keys to the plant"

Me "Wait, What, you guys won't even be there tomorrow?"

Him "No we're shut down for the weather"

Me "REALLY? BUT YOU WANT ME TO DRIVE DOWN THERE"

Him "Yeah could you?"

Me "The next sound you hear will be me hanging up"

good job !!

There are far to many people with that mindset and it doesn't just apply to weather. "I want what works for me and I want it when I want it. And, oh by the way, screw you."

Traffic is moving very slowly this morning and the freezing drizzle hasn't hit yet.

Yeah, now we know who the real jerk is! Go to his house and get the keys?!!! Unbelievable!
