Do you wear a wristwatch?
Do you wear a wristwatch?
One of the morning shows had a segment about a new watch from Apple that will hit the market this week. They mentioned that a lot of folks do not wear watches these days.
What about you.
What about you.

Re: Do you wear a wristwatch?
Haven't worn a watch daily since 2001, probably been a year since I wore one.
It's ok if you disagree with me.

yeah , I wear a wristwatch , don't really know why . I never wore a wristwatch until recently when about a year ago I decided to buy a halfway decent 'citizen ecodrive' . I've had antique pocket watches for a long time , both my Grandfathers pocket watches , carry one or the other maybe 2 - 3 times every few years on special occasions .

Yes, a Casio Databank. Only take it off when I shower. Cost $26 and lasts 10 years. But, the band has to be replaced every 3 or 4 years. I'm on my 3rd one.

Have not worn a wristwatch in 10 years. About 25 years back I won a Rolex Submariner at a auction. My winning bid ws $1100.00, sold it in a week for arouns 4200.00.
Re: Do you wear a wristwatch?
I've always worn a wrist watch.
I bought one of the first (if not the first) digital watches sold back in the 1970s. I paid $300 for it. It was a Bulova with nixie lamps. So obsolete you don't even see that kind anymore.
I've worn expensive watches and cheap watches.
Right now I'm wearing a $10 Walmart quartz analog watch. I like it as well as any I've ever had.

Re: Do you wear a wristwatch?
Haven't worn a watch since the mid 60s. I don't like stuff wrapped around my arm and the resultant sweat under the wrapped around stuff. I always said I'd wear a watch if there was such a thing as a watch implant that could go under the skin.
I don't wear my wedding ring either. I stopped wearing it back when I was working with the horses and in the garden all day. It's almost as pristine as the day we bought it.

Re: Do you wear a wristwatch?
I have worn a wristwatch for 50+ years. (Not the same one.) I have a Seiko with a perpetual calendar, a Fossil that I bought at a Christian book store for $25, no manual or box it was the final one on the display, and a Baume & Mercier that I received as a retirement gift from the company I worked for. (It is on my insurance with a $4500 value.) I wore a Rolex for several years but sold it when I needed some cash. My favorite of the bunch is the $25 Fossil. One jeweler that put a battery in it told me he had sold that same watch for $150, couldn't believe what I had paid for it.

Yes for wristwatch, but only when I leave the house.
since rings were mentioned: I only wear jewelry when going out--as in leaving my house. I never wear my rings, including wedding ring, around the house.

Feel naked if I'm not wearing one.

Always. Been wearing a Timex Ironman since they came out in '86. On my 4th one. Only one has actually died on my (the first one after ten years). The little rubber loop for the band breaks, and I figure it's time for a new watch. I have to have a reliable watch for my job when I'm doing testing.
Re: Do you wear a wristwatch?
Never.....but I do wear two rings all the time. I have a great jeweler who replaces stones. I've never lost a diamond but the emeralds are a "soft stone" so he replaces when needed. I have a jade ring on my right hand. He's replaced jade and had to reconstruct the ring when it got in the garbage disposal. He made the ring in the first place. My older son was in our dressing room talking to me while I did my hair. He was going through some jewelry boxes. He pulled out a ring and said "Why is this in here?" I told him that he gave me that ring when he was in kindergarten for Mother's Day. He bought it at Miller Grove school. I really liked it. I didn't notice it was missing. Christmas morning, there was a small gift bag. He had put that ring in his pocket that night and took it to Bart. Bart "cast" the ring in gold with jade and diamonds. It was exactly the same. I cried. Mike said "I thought you liked that ring." I did!

What a sweet thing to do. I'm sure you were thrilled.
