Tom Cotton's Letter To Iran

All the hoopla over Hilary's emails seems to have monopolized the political news. Another big story is
Sen Tom Cotton's letter to Iran. Rep. Cotton's letter is cosigned by 47 Republican senators and is a
warning to Iran that Obama will be gone in 2 years but they will still be there. So, if you sign any agreement with him, you will have to deal with us later when there will likely be a Republican President.

This is a big deal. Drudge doesn't have anything on it at all.

I'm thinking that there might / probably will be a treaty and iran will get what it wants . In 2 years time the rinos will just say that its too much trouble to do anything about the treaty as the USA settles into working and normalizing with iran .

This is not so much about Iran as it is the principle. This is kind of like the Democrats sending Saddam Hussain a letter before the invasion of Iraq saying we don't agree with Bush that you have WMD so hang in there and we'll try to talk some sence into these morons.

everything I'm hearing is that the Congress had the Right and the authority to do as they did Steve . Seems to me that they have the same Right and Power as mrobama . I know that mrobama can make the treaty but Congress can over ride it when the repubs have the power with a President in the white house , maybe in 2 years . I think that the signers of the letter distrust mrobama to make a good deal so they were just trying to exert pressure on iran . I don't remember but I hear that 'dead kennedy' did similar when communicating with the Soviets in , think it was 1984 . Plus 'nancy pelosi' went to talk to syrias assad over the objections of gwb from what I hear .

Nobody's claiming it was illegal. Voiceing objections to foreign policy is nothing new. So, I guess you would be OK with the Democrats in Congress sending attaboys to Saddam Hussain.

seems to me that normal , regular type Americans don't support mrobama Steve . Seems to me that those same Americans oppose mrobama at his every step . Seems to me that these 47 congressmen might be normal , regular type Americans !! ATTABOYS to Saddam , he11 , he is dead so those same dems can't support Saddam but they do support mrobama !!

and I don't see the letter to iran as attaboys , I see the letter as a warning to iran that eventually the USA might get back to carrying a big stick so iran better watch out .

It wasn't a letter to Iran. It was a letter to Barack Obama.

I'll assume your right or you would't have said it. But, the implication is that it was addressed to Iran.
Does it begin To: Whomever Grand Poopa or To: President of the United States, Murderous Traitor ?

The Democrats went way beyond sending Saddam a letter.

Some Democrat Congressmen went to visit Saddam before we attacked to apologize and show solidarity with him.

And Ted Kennedy sent a note to Soviet Premier Yuri Andropov apologizing for the evil Ronald Reagan wanting to build mid range nuclear weapons in Europe.

And in all cases..including this one with Iran, Democrats took the stand against their own country and in favor of our enemies.
