I'm in a hotel in Spain today. It's been hilarious watching the BBC and CNN International go on and on for days how and why it's over for Bibi. Just like in America, the press tries as hard as they can to depress the vote for the Conservative..and to only release polls that favor the liberal..in this case..hoping for the Obama candidate to take control of Israel and join the surrender to Iran.

It was not close, an easy win for Bibi, and the de facto leader of the free world will stay in power and make sure Iran never gets a nuke. I'm not sure I've ever been happier with the results of any election anywhere in the world.

I feel the same way Greg! It was disgraceful for Obama to interfere in that election. I'm getting a little tired of Planosteve's anti Israel's ranting and always blaming the Israelis and the jews of the world. Go Bibi! We should be so lucky to have a president that has the courage he does and the wisdom.

It should get interesting now. Israel has a huge problem with it's young people. They can't afford it there. Sound familiar? But, in Israel they don't have basements, so there's no place to go. Bibi has steadily ignored the issue so far. I think he will be soon be forced to take some kind of action. Probably a QE which will make it even worse.

lack of living quarters is bad but being over run and dead at the hands of muslims is badder , err worse IMO . Interesting , yesterday I read commentary that Herzog is the same as Bibi concerning important issues like survival and defense but that he is also more apt to try to fix the economy in some way . Me , I think that I'd rather be alive and maybe poor than being dead with money in the bank . I'd have voted Bibi !!

Yep in Israel they have to deal with survival first then welfare.

They don't have to worry about survival. We spend billions of taxpayer dollars every year to assure that. Without the US, Israel would vanish in short order.
The other knock on Bibi is the enormous amount of money he spends personally maintaining 3 residences. His annual bill just for takeout food is about $50,000.

as far as the USA covering Israel , I agree about the USA backing Israel in the past but for the last [6] years I 'sense' less co operation between USA and Israel . After all , the big cheese in the current administration has said that he will stand with the muslims if bad times come . To me that's a pretty ominous statement Steve .

as far as the take out food , I hope that he is eatin healthy and I hope that his homes have machine gun turrets and towers and FRESH manicured lawn that is a minefield !!

For the past 6 years the money spent was to do anything possible to get the government to back down, give ground, tear down houses built in the wrong place, and sit down and shut up. If push comes to shove, Israel will tend to its own security and the rest of the world can shove it.
