The Glass of water at a restaurant that used to be served first, before your other drink came; now you have to ask for it.

Decent shoes; even the older famous brands are China made crap for the most part with really crappy laces that will not stay tied.

Power Tools that last for more than a year of normal use; mostly China made crap these days.

Walnut guns stocks, hand checkering, and a quality polish and blue; hard to find new and a King's ransom if you find it.

Automatic Transmission Dipstick and Filler tubes; many new vehicles don't have them. How are you supposed to check the transmission fluid ? Or add a little if you have a leak ?

decent shoes , wear WESCO boots , made in Orygun I think , BOSS boots style , good for both dancing and sh1t kickin !! --- http://www.wescoboots.com/wesco/stock.asp --- buy them at Wesco mail order I think or go to 'Stompers in San Francisco ' just for some eye opening fun . --- https://stompersboots.com/ --- Its sorta an alternative lifestyle store run by a male husband and male wife team but I wanted the boots so what could I do ?? :D , my pair of Wesco Boss boots are 17" leather lined shaft and foot and are about 20 years old so they are pretty good , I'll be buried in them if my wife doesn't sell them out from under me !! Replaced the rubber heel a few times at the local cobbler .

No Sir Red Ok , no leather chaps for me but Stompers does sell stuff like that as they cater to that clientele . I just walked in with a grin on my face with my Mom and Wife . Aww , they were polite , nice and looking to make a sale and do business and I was looking to buy . I used to buy 'Chippewa' brand in the same style but they quit selling them at Sears as Sears tried / tries to go upscale .

"Panty hose....and there are times when I think they should still be worn."

That is interesting, I remember Mrs. Red Oak hanging them up to dry like some little animal skins years back.

My other earlier memories of them will go unmentioned.......

I had never thought of them in relation to animal skins but that's a pretty accurate assessment. Makes the hanging of them on the shower rod rather disgusting. :? Glad I don't wear dresses any longer. :)

Rotary dial phones.
Large business that answer their phones rather than have a robot answer them.
