+1
It also appears that she approached the spot driving the wrong way.......
I've seen people do almost the same thing in grocery store lots.

Yeah, I noticed that too but also noted it's a 2 way street. Amazing that the guy didn't just repark the car for her. I couldn't believe they just walked off........than came back. I wondered if she had left her keys in the car.

Well Ms. Holmes-Norton has an explanation.
Speaking exclusively to FOX 5's Tom Fitzgerald on Thursday, Norton said she was late for a TV interview, in an area where she doesn't normally park, and wasn't expecting construction or the six-point turn she would need to execute in order to park.
"Don't worry! I have signed up for parking lessons and I'm even thinking about upgrading to one of those self-parking cars,” said Norton.
Norton's staffers say the car next to her reported no damage. Capitol Police say no report was ever made.

Uh, self parking cars don't work in that kind of parking situation. Other than that.............lame excuse for a clear inability to park in the simplest of situations.
'Course I'm hardly one to talk. Got my first ticket in 44 years yesterday. I'm still waiting to find out how much it's going to cost. 50 mph road. Yep, cruise control set on 50 because I know there are frequently cops on that road because it's in in school zone. But oops it's 3:50 p.m. I never noticed any flashing lights though I'm sure they were working. So I got ticketed for doing 50 in a 35 and in a school zone. Arrrrrrrggggggggghhhhhhhhh. Yes, I was guilty. No excuses. Very cute little highway patrol woman in training with her training officer in the car. No way was I going to get out of the ticket.

I got a ticket in a School Zone a few years back, I was doing 39 in a 20.
The Cop writing the ticket explained that they had moved the School Zone sign further down the road the previous week.
Some how an attorney got that one to go away, after I made the proper payoffs to the City and State.

Well done.

No way this is gonna go away. I was guilty plain and simple. Back when I was young and cute I talked my way out of a couple of tickets but the cops were young and cute too. Now the cops are young and cute and I'm ancient to them.
