I was walking around the place on the Brazos Breaks yesterday with the surveyor and found petrified wood scattered in with the gravel and gypsum eroding out of the bluffs, I thought it was kind of interesting.

Neat. I haven't seen any petrified wood in many years. Are you collecting it?

I remember going to the Petrified Forest with my Grandparents when I was in high school. Isn't it out around the Grand Canyon somewhere?

I picked up a couple of small pieces, I didn't have to to really look for it purposely.

We have several pieces of petrified wood that came from the Glen Rose area.
The national park is in Arizona, CM.

Petrified Forest is on the north side of I-40 east of the Meteor Impact Crater, I'll be driving past them again in a couple weeks .
