Kids are really getting into the fishing. ask lots of questions about colors and size, ect.
so.... since i never throw stuff away, i thought i would dig out the dead lure box(hundreds) and repaint some old jigs and spinner baits.
i like the powder coating. heat and dip and done. seems cleaner than dripping paint and..... set up / clean up is so easy.
i cannot find info on this, but i was thinking about just coating over old paint on chipped lead. or do i need to remove the old paint?
also, lets say i dipped a spinner in chartreuse and wanted a spot of orange on the bottom. could i wait until cured, reheat and redip?
or should i paint by hand and clear coat?
soaking paint off all of those old lures wont be fun.
but letting the boys come up with some cool colors will be a blast.
making memories.
