Is he at Baylor Heart Hospital in Plano? That's where I got my stent about 3 years ago. If so he's in a great place.

Yesterday I heard he was in quite a bit of pain but talking. Sounds like there were a few complications so hope they were able to fix everything.

Wonder how things are going with him today.

Thank you for the kind comments. Had aortic valve replacement on the 10th. Had some comlpication so they decided to back off to worry about later. I savored a natural valve so my new nickname will be Wilbur. :D

So glad you came through the surgery okay. Congrats on your pig valve. I'm sure the jokes will be coming for awhile, Wilbur. :P :P :P

I'll bet you have lots of grass to feed the cattle. They will have plenty of water, too. I had a dear friend who had valve replacement at 92. I was so scared. We had non-refundable tickets for Vegas and I had to leave the day after her surgery. I called when we landed and she wasn't in ICU. They'd already moved her to a room. The plan was ICU for about 4 days, then a regular, monitored room for about 4 or 5 days, then off to the rehab hospital. She skipped the rehab hospital all together. I was with her when the home health nurse came for the first visit. She wanted to see how Golda was walking. Golda zipped across the room and the nurse was telling her to slow down! She made more jokes about the pig valve and occasionally, in the pool she'd give a pig snort just to keep us awake.
