This is outrageous and sad.......and probably unstoppable.
I hope if it comes to pass, that sales will be so awful the developers go bankrupt.......but then, we'd be left with empty buildings in one of the most beautiful of places.

I'm all for it.
I've been there, it's impractical and just too much of a commitment to get down there..ride donkeys?..and there are no decent hotels around anywhere.
Nature is nice..to a point. But to really enjoy and become part of the Grand Canyon..I'd love it to have a nice tram ride, and nice places to eat and stay down there.
I might go back then, and actually go see it up close and enjoy it, instead of just looking at it from afar. That was dumb, and a waste of time.

I should have stayed home and looked at the pictures.

Sounds like the "Mall" part is what is false. That's probably a good thing.
But a nice hotel, good places to eat..a convenient way to get up and down..all good.

I'm just glad that I saw a lot of this stuff 40-50 years ago before big time commercialization . Same with growing up in the U.P. when it was still mostly filled with local yokels ehh .

I'm against it, because of the existing operating contract issues at the south rim, if this is on state/fed land.
If its private property, have fun building it.
