Sister says Lake Kickapoo released some water from the lake yesterday.
She was in no danger of flooding yesterday, but amazed at the amount of rain that fell.

I just saw CBS report and there are many people in shelters getting ready for a downpour this weekend. So, now I'm hoping the coming rain is a gentle rainfall. Feast or famine in WF....

I do know that Corpus Christi area is flooding like crazy and the usual pattern is that it arrives in Corpus going west to east. That would include the hill country. I can find out in just a bit since a good friend lives in Bandera.

I have a couple of clients who are fishing guides. One on Buchanan and one on LBJ. I need to ask them how things are. I know it's been grim for a goodly number of years.

Glad for you. The pastures out here in western Ellis county are the best we have seen in the last 15 years. I could double my herd size, but I will not do that.

You would either have tomtit the lottery or rob a bank to do that.

I sold out of bulls last week and what they are bringing is pretty hard to fathom. Prices are good for a while unless Washington screws it up somehow. I think they hope it continues so we just quit eating meat.

Dallas had almost 3 in, McKinney 3/4 in. So Plano has something in between. Some more rain tomorrow, 1 to 3 in the metromess. About 30% for the rest of the week.
Big flooding problem last night in South Texas on the Blanco around Wemberly south of Austin. They are calling it historic flooding.

I just talked to my cousin that lives in WF. He says everyone regrets their flooding but are also thrilled that they now have water in their lake.
