Barn Swallows redux

They are getting ready to breed again. They are swooping around like crazy and chasing each other.

Yep, we have the first batches off the nest as of last week, with the exception for 1 which started late. Those will probably be off the nest in the next 10 days. The others are laying again.

Our east pasture has a couple of hundred egrets feeding by the cows. They are great birds.

Yes they are. Now that we no longer have cows in the pasture we no longer have the cattle egrets. I miss them.
