I heard a little of his speech at Addison yesterday. He said "I hear you" refering to the obvious fact that the richer are getting richer and the poor are getting poorer and the middle class is disappearing. OK, fine. Now tell us why that is happening and what your plan is to fix it.

Hey Rick! Your predesser sent the military to Iraq and told us it would only cost $40 billion. We're way over a trillion now still pouring millions every day into that rat hole. Do you think that may have had anything to do with the fact that we are now 18 trillion in debt. And you want us to think that you are the one that will fix the problem??? He had diddley squat to do with keeping the Texas economy strong. Texas governors do not have near the power and influence of governors of other states.

He was on Mourning Joe today. I guess they didn't take him very seriously. He was only on for about 10 minutes on a 2 hr. show.

You're right.
That's because of Jim Ferguson. He was a crooked governor about 100 years ago. He sold pardons, paroles, contracts and jobs. The State constitution was changed to take most of the powers away from the governor.

I think Perry and most of the others are just jockying for a place in Jeb's cabinet.
