Uh hello, isn't that what "white flight" was about? If current neighborhoods are "diversified" the rich folks will just move on to another neighborhood. Rinse, repeat.

"The Obama administration is moving forward with regulations designed to help diversify America’s wealthier neighborhoods, drawing fire from critics who decry the proposal as executive overreach in search of an 'unrealistic utopia.'"

Doesn't that pretty much sum up his presidency?

Just thought about another aspect of this -- how much is it going to cost taxpayers for the government to build "affordable" housing in a neighborhood where the average house sells for, oh say, a million and a half????? I want to get on the gravy train that allows me to buy a $50,000 house in a neighborhood like that. This concept is insanity.

and as far as 'Normal Person Flight' , how many times can a person afford to do that exercise ?? Suburbs and rural will eventually be so far from work or jobs will be unavailable that people won't be able to afford the expense of driving to work . Plus this will all be done using taxpayer money to force cities , communities to do the will of mrobama . Some people will eventually figure that they can't afford the move so they have to stay and let their kids get infected .

If you want to see what "diversity" can do to a community visit the Southwestern Mall right outside of Duncanville. It used to be called the Redbird Mall. It was a thriving area until they built about 2,000 low income apartments around it. Today, it's like a ghost town.

think that that is the plan but if I assume that Redbird or South Western went to he11 because of or after diversity then the same thing will eventually happen to a Country or Nation Steve !!

This would take white flight out of the equation. No matter where you go, HUD will find you and give you a new neighbor.

right on B.T. , build a nice suburban community built for normal working families , it gets known as nice and desirable and Whamo that's the end of it as it gets its public buildings . This plan has been in the works since before the last election and just as he is leaving its time for implementation . Doesn't affect the wealthy , just normal working family Americans and that's the target .

It's been proven that people are the most satisfied living in neighborhoods where the majority of people are at approximately the same income level and of the same race. And if you don't believe me, ask George Bush.

I wonder if this is not already going on now. Large numbers of apartment buildings are being built in Plano. Is the Federal Govt. helping finance this? The area north of Central Market on Coit is being developed into hundreds of apartments. I saw on TV a Plano city council meeting where a lot of homeowners were bitterly complaining about all of the apartment construction and what they feared it would do to their neighborhoods. And they are exactly right.

as I mentioned earlier in a different post , this has been in the planning since before the 2012 elections , I read about it , already raised the issue on other boards . No one believed the news or were happy to hear the news . Yep , not fair that regular working people gain money on homes in nice areas as nice homes gain value that they MIGHT pass on to their children as that is 'inherited' wealth . Course , won't affect Beverly Hill or Brentwood , Shaker Heights , Lake Shore Drive or other high rent areas were the elites live .

You need to read about Agenda 21 of the United Nations. It's not new.

don't know a lot about Agenda 21 but I have heard about it . Correct me if I'm wrong Ann but I think that one aspect of '21' is herding the majority of the populace into big cities by making it hard or very expensive to live outside big cities . Think that '21' is also called the 're greening' of America .
