I got my replacement equipment yesterday. Will probably start installing it tomorrow. Two DVRs and 3 other TV boxes. Supposed to be able to record up to 12 programs at a time when it's completed and 100 hours of HD on each DVR. Will let you know how it all works out.

Just kidding. Sounds like a super setup.

Bob, If I thought that would be my luck, I'd just go ahead and pay Verizon the $149 they said they'd install it all for. But I did enjoy your picture!
Early in the yr. I asked Verizon tech support when their DVRs were going to be at least equal to what Dish and several others had and the guy said it was coming in June. I could record 2 programs at a time but could not be watching a 3rd. I think they released the Quantum in DE first for testing. N TX is their next big test area. Looking forward to trying it out. Will be great if it works as advertised.

Have 3 of 5 TVs done. All went good on the first 2, one with the main DVR and an HD TV in the MBR. Went to the computer room to do the second DVR. Got a "No video connection" message. Called Verizon support. We tried several things and kept getting the same 5 characters on the cable box screen. He had me unhook all of my LR connections and hook the DVR up there. It got the same 5 characters there. He said the box was bad and they'd send me a replacement on Monday. So I had to rehook up all the old equipment in the computer room and get it running again. (That's where my wife spends lots of her time. Couldn't let it be TVless till someday next week!) Went from that to the kitchen. Got the cable box hooked up but cannot get the new remote to accept the programming for that TV. Gave up. Been at this since 10:30 A.M. Tired of it for awhile. Will do TV 5 tomorrow and then wait until the new DVR arrives to redo the computer room next week. I guess it would have been cheaper to pay Verizon to do it. Sure would have been less problems.

The technician who hooked up our U-verse four or five years ago had his share of problems with the installation ─ and he was supposed to be an "expert."
