Going to be renamed ?
Are their tombstones going to be bull dozed ?
Historic Buildings razed ?
Their books banned and burned ?
Decedents imprisoned, fined, taxed, killed ?

Bill Krystol made the same argument on Mourning Joe. He got slammed by everybody, except by Joe who just sat there. One of the few times I ever agreed with Bill, the king of the neocons.

Heard this a.m. that a couple of civil war statues on the U.T. Austin campus have been painted and the powers that be are thinking of removing them. No surprise there. In the scheme of things I have more important joys and concerns than the deposition of statues. I don't see it as eroding anything in my life because I'm working very hard at living in the moment and being grateful for what is here and now. Doesn't work all the time or every day but all we truly have is right now.
Didn't mean to be so philosophical on a Weds. morning but it's something my sis and I have discussed a lot lately and it's a very desirable way to live. So much better to count our many blessings than our woes.

Erase and defile our monuments and history to appease idiots ?
Not ok by me.
