What are you thankful for today?

Postby millergrovesue » Sat Jun 27, 2015 8:19 am

We got a little over half an inch. How much did y'all get?

Have a tree guy coming out this a.m. to take out one of the Water Oaks that has suffered from Hypoxylon Canker since 2011. We had hoped it would recover but it hasn't. Still alive but barely. It'll be sad to see it go. He's also cleaning up a bunch of areas in the landscape. Yeah!
I'm thankful that/for:
Work is going well
Doggies are at my feet
Harry's vision hasn't deteriorated any more, he will have surgery, to hopefully save his right eye for a few more years, Monday.
Veterinarians who can do amazing things
Bob's off to Waxahachie to ride his bike, which he loves doing
I just want to celebrate another day of livin'...................
Gonna be a lovely day
We are truly blessed!

I'm not upset at the Courts ruling.
I'm not mad anyone stopped selling items.
It's ok if you disagree with me.
I can't force you to be right.

I am thankful for my job, which I hope to do until I retire or die.

For the most part, my bosses are appreciative of hard work. Of all the places I have worked in my adulthood, this is really the only place that has treated me that way.

Ahhhhhhhhhh. We can disagree but it doesn't mean we have to be unpleasant or hateful, huh? None of us has all the answers.
I should have listed my husband first, too. He's such a great guy. I'm so glad I waited to marry till he came along.

Considering the first 10 posts today are political, negative, depressing, nutty, paranoid, irritating, boooooring............take your pick..........I'm bumping this post. We need more of this and less of that. Have a lovely and thankful day, y'all. :D

Oh, and I guess I can forget my hoped for career as a plumber's apprentice. My heart is broken. 8-)

I will take mom to church. When we get back Karen will have shrimp gumbo ready. After lunch, she will stay here with mom and I get to stay at our house for the next two days. Looking forward to be with the Dane and the two yorkies.

I'm thankful for all the political threads.

in fact , I just posted another thread which contains advice on how to monkey wrench mrobama's court full of 'supreme' political activists and their pro homosexual and 'obamacare' agenda . Advice is by a young woman named 'Kris Ann Hall' . See , a newer threads to see what she says . Heck , even I know that judges are supposed to be judges of the law rather than political activists . I include info to 'Kris Ann Hall ' webpage and its info about her .

I am thankful that I never get stressed by sexual relations between two consenting adults.

I don't get stressed by it , don't think about it in my life but I do disagree with the ruling . Also , the more I read it looks like judicial tyranny so just another sign that the USA is dissolving . Main thing with me is that its politics and is a good topic of conversation . Politics is real and is one of the best 2 sports that exist .

I truly don't care what two consenting adults do, nor do I think it's my business. I just don't like it shoved in my face. The gays I've known have not done that. My lesbian granddaughter doesn't do that. I'm fine as long as people don't lose their businesses because they're religious beliefs are sacred to them. Why would someone want to sue because a florist or caterer doesn't want to do their wedding? There are tons of flower shops and catering companies. There is a lawsuit pending in the UK. Apparently, the two men are wealthy and want to be married in the church they attend. I don't know the denomination of the church, but apparently, the "ruling body" has said "No to same sex weddings". What does the clergyman do? He's been very kind to these two men and they've put the clergy in a very bad spot. I could never do that to someone who (they've admitted) has been very kind to me.

I'm thankful and lucky to still have both my parents.

Thankful to have been blessed with two sweet girls to raise even though it can be tough at times.

Thankful we have a new baby girl in our family.

Thankful someone offered us a free place to stay so we can take a trip to Galveston for a few days this week.

I am thankful for the cardio therapy facility at Baylor Waxahachie. I am well on my way to having my best physical condition in the last 20 years.
