Ex-CNN Anchor Survives Shootout in NM

Postby Jim Jack » Wed Jul 01, 2015 7:30 pm

Interesting story about Lynne Russell, who used to anchor CNN's headline news. Her husband shot and killed an intruder at a Motel 6 in Alberquerque on Tuesday. I hadn't thought of her in years. Among other things, the story made me read up on her life story.

Only one question for the former hotshot CNN star.

Yes..when I was very young and money was very tight.

I have no questions for people that stay at a Motel 6 because that's what their budget allows.

But leading national news "reporter?"

Did she put all her money up her nose?

LOL. I thought the exact same thing.

I seem to remember their beds looking a lot like exam tables, just a little bit wider. Also, I think there was a mirror unfortunately placed, directly facing the bed. Yikes.

I stayed at a Studio 6 in El paso last week because it was close to the customer. A little stark, but clean.

I stayed in a $2 motel/convenience store in Zwolle, LA for ten days while working on a RR construction project in the summer of 1978. The local working girls used the facilities for their activities; some were quite loud. But we were so tired from working 12 hour days, we didn't notice after the first time...

I stayed in a lot of low priced motels because I had no other choice. Only stayed in a Motel 6 once and that was on vacation and we let the kids pick.
It's ok if you disagree with me.

 Bet that was...............educational.

My sis and I specialize in finding cheap non chain motels. It's part of the fun she and I have traveling together. We've found some really great and really nasty places. We haven't been able to travel together for many years though. I'm not sure we would have the same habits these days what with all the concern about bedbugs.
Working to love my fellow person regardless : >
