Here's a story about a guy that tied 100 balloons to a chair in Calgary and went for a ride. The police were not amused.

I must admit that I have some sort of facination with this sort of thing, although I would never do it.

I remember the lawn chair pilot in California from many years ago. I think he went up to 19,000 feet.
