I saw that.
It sounded like the police think she intentionally drowned the kids.
I don't know how she would have pulled that off with kids that big, but I guess we'll find out.

From a Fox 4 report, the officer said it's only for one child? I think she's just stupid, myself. Oh yeah, she needs a lot more than that. The first responders said the water was completely still...no bubbles, no movement of the water at all.

I've heard nothing about it being intentional but that was my first thought. All I'm hearing is that none of them could swim and the mom was distracted with texting on her phone.

I heard, yesterday, that someone had bailed her out and said they were very concerned about her mental state as a result of the trauma. She may be innocent of any crime but she's clearly but a very very bad mother.

They go for one child and see if there's a conviction. If not, they they'll bring her up on charges for another child, this time with information they learned in the first trial. When they go for one conviction on multiple victims, that means the DA really wants to hang the alleged perp. That was the strategy in the Darlee Routier case... she was tried and convicted for the death of one child; if that case is somehow overturned, they'll go after her again with the second child's death.

Back to the Irving family: that NO one in the family could swim and she was busy with 2 other little ones *AND* she was busy texting indicates severe negligence. They will dig up all kinds of stuff to support that she was an unfit mother and that such an accident was just waiting to happen.

All in all, it's really a tragedy and I feel for the two little ones especially.

I'll metion the obvious, to me anyway. Who in the world takes children to a swimming pool when NO one can swim, especially the adult who is the responsible person in charge(normally the case), but I guess not this time. No life preservers, no floaties on the arms of the smaller ones,no buddy system, I'll watch him and he will watch me type thing. Its a sad case all around.
