Heh....I've seen that one.
Speaking of, we have a few really good pie places here in Ft Worth. I love Swiss pastry and Paris Coffee Shop.

I had lunch at Paris Coffee Shop a year or so ago.
It's gone down a lot in the 30 years since I ate there every day.

Sorry to hear that. I ate there fairly frequently when I was having to work a few days a week in Paris. It was delightful. And they had carmel pie!
Speaking of sweet things. My brother brought me some of the cake from the wedding. The white cake had pecans and a sour cream cream cheese icing. It was very nearly orgasmic but VERY rich. Took me 4 days to finish off the portion I got. The chocolate cake was too dark chocolatey............if that' possible. I just chunked it in the trash this morning.

Oh, didn't know there was a Paris Coffee Shop in Ft. Worth. Wonder if it's owned by the same people.

I doubt it very seriously. Their pies aren't the best, but not bad for a diner. I really like Swiss Pastry. And there Bluebonnet bakery over here too.

Here's a link to the place. Come by here some time when you come to DFW and I'll take you there.

Or Swiss Pastry with even better desserts. Take a look....

Re: Picked up from FB
One question answered. "The name originates from the initial owner, Vic Paris."
Both sites need updating.
Not mobile friendly. Big no no since April 21 far as Google is concerned.
Would love to go with you. Problem is I think the last time I was in Ft. Worth was when Anne, Carol, and I went to the Kimball for an Impressionist Exhibit. Bet that was 5 years ago. Golly, I need to get out more.

Yes you need to get out more Sue. The Kimball is still here and has exhibits. And you would love the Botanical Gardens. A little warm for that right now though.
They have horse shows by my office quite often. I figured you might go to some of those.

Back when my friend, Bill, was alive we went to the Botanical Gardens in Ft. Worth several times a year. Yes, it's a lovely place. Heck, he's been dead 20 years.

Oh, Sue, you are such a breath of fresh air.
And I'll add the Japanese Gardens to the aforementioned.
Spend and hour or two there and you'll feel like a different
person.

Thank you, sir! *blushing* Not everything has to be gloom and doom and hatred and bitterness.
Yes, I LOVE the Japanese Garden!
My friend Bill was a fellow gardener. He and I and his partner, also named Bill, used to prowl the nurseries from Ft. Worth to Tyler and visit the botanic gardens regularly. It was from them that I got my love of using botanic names of plants in place of common names.
There is no place more pleasant as the misted area at the Dallas Botanic Gardens.
When Bill died he left me his membership to the Dallas Botanic Gardens.
