I'll also say that Franklin Graham wouldn't make a wart on his daddy's butt as a preacher.

The evangelist Franklin Graham had quite a run last week.

In interviews and statements, he praised Russian president Vladimir Putin’s anti-gay policies. “I agreed with Putin. I think protecting his nation’s children, I think, was a pretty smart thing to do,” Graham told the Charlotte Observer’s Tim Funk. “I was very clear. I supported Putin in his decision to protect his nation’s children. And I think our Congress needs to do more in protecting our children.” (Mr. Graham’s oddly sympathetic article on Putin, published in Decision magazine, can be found here).

When Graham said gays and lesbians cannot have children, Funk pointed out that they could adopt. To which Graham responded, “Yeah, they can recruit.” Refusing to use the word “adopt,” he added, “You can adopt a child into a marriage but you can also recruit children into your cause.”

I don't know why I reacted to Franklin Graham. I think he is boorish and patently wrong about theology and scripture, but I don't belong in this 'forum' because I not only don't want to quibble about him ... I don't want to think about him.

For the last 25 years all preachers, pastors, priests, etc have been irrelevant to me.

There are still some great ones out there. I faithfully listen to Msgr. Don Fisher, a Catholic priest, homilie every Sunday on WRR. The man's words and attitude are absolutely amazing. Also listen to Preston Hollow Presby service and an Episcopal service in between.

words of Franklin Graham are pertinent and accurate on this particular issue . All the other preachers mentioned in this thread are probably lefty ticklers of ears . Franklin words are simply a warning to the USA and he simply says that same things that any thoughtful person has to say after observing muslims actions in America.

and Franklin is simply stating his opinion . I'm the guy that commented on his preacher status which is irrelevant for his opinion to be valid .

I agree with what Graham said about Muslim immigration.

However I don't believe he should have said it.

No one would care what Graham thinks about anything, were he not a well known minister.
He is taking advantage of his status as a preacher to propagate his political opinions.
Christ and his Apostles refused to touch politics.
When the Pharisees attempted to bait Jesus into expressing an opinion critical of Caesar, He refused to.
That is not what His message was and is about. Anyone who claims to be His messenger should follow His example.

I think that Franklin is pretty much doing as he likes and I applaud him . Good point Bill but he is speaking as a private person a far as I can see and as I said , good for him as I see no Identifier other than 'Franklin Graham' at the beginning of his message . That being said , I'd like to see more smart observations from all people with WEBSITES like Franklins and this one that I am communicating on right now .

Then why did your opening post identify him as a Baptist Evangelist? How do you know this?
