my wife just snarled at me.
my wife just snarled at me.
I have been out on the porch for an hour or so. As usual, the dog's are with me. One of the yorkies that is my daughter's is a 3.5lb yorkie male. His name is Shadow and he has a Napoleon complex. If he hears a different sound he goes nuts and runs around barking. He woke Karen up and of course it is my fault.
Re: my wife just snarled at me.
It's 59 degrees with 78% humidity. Cats got a rumbly in their tumbly and I guess
that means ol' mayhem shall get up. The cats, who are remarkably friendly with
each other, conspire to wake one of us up. No matter what we do, it always
happens.
We have ignored them (tried to) and threatened to kill them and threatened
to pull off various and sundry limbs. None of it works.
They don't believe us and make Sat morning disastorville. Thing is -- the more
we threaten them, the more they get behind the couch and snicker.
Geez, we might get up to the mid 80's today. Hope so.
Have a great day!!!

A. I'm jealous. B. Aggravate, infuriate, and laugh at us - that's what cats do.

Re: my wife just snarled at me.
Ah, we are rusticating near Lake Seneca of the Finger Lakes.
Don't be jealous. In fact, pls keep us in your prayers. We might reach the
high 80's soon and that's just so, so hard to take.
Nascar is a big deal here with Watkins Glen (the gorge area is stunning
in its beauty) and have had races of all kinds in and around the area --
very exciting. We don't go much bec it's such a hastle.
And we've had to put with blankets with windows open so far. (I have
slept under only a sheet so far.) I know y'all will be sympathetic. I'm
sitting on my deck wrapped up in a blanket sipping very hot
coffee and trying not to spill on my computer!!!
(Just got today's forecast ... today will be 84 degrees and it will
climb to about 90 next weekend. Terrible.) Just terrible. It'll be
in the nineties!!!
Have a reelie, reelie good day.

Re: my wife just snarled at me.
Estes Park is on my bucket list.
Love the Adirondacks, but I would
really like to return visit Taos,
northern NM and the rest of the SW.
Don't know if I'll ever return to
Europe -- it seems more complicated
somehow. East Europe is nice ...
Bavaria, Alsace Lorraine are
possibles but unlikely.
My wife's sister and her husband
toured St Petersburg and
Athens -- (dif trips)
they don't rec'd
either one but are specially
jaundiced with Athens ...
dirty, Old and not a whole lot
stuff to look at.
I'd like to go back to E Canada.
(and Calgary to Vancouver).
Niagara on the Lake is an
absolutely gorgeous place ...
kinda like a small Highland
Park. It has that same sor similar
neighbor hoods and it's quite
separate from the rest of the
world.
It's kinda flat though
I'm purty shur I'll never, ever
take a tour again. I wanna be
on my own, hate the bus calls
and don't need new friends.
You'd never guess I don't much
like traveling, would you?
I am close to giving it up. I'm
ready for some peaceful time.
Go hiking a lot. Maybe that's
enough.
.
Sorry, topic drift. I am so ready
for a road trip. I dtest flying any
more.

My brother has a place there and I go out every year. Try to avoid July or Aug. Best is Sept. Prices drop when the summer hoards have departed.Estes Park is on my bucket list.

Re: my wife just snarled at me.
I'm not a really big fan of travel. I'm pretty content at home. However, I really miss getting to go places with my sister. She and I are perfect travel companions and have a grand time together without spending much money. With all the dog issues of the last few years travel has been pretty much impossible. BUT the dogs are well worth the inconvenience.

Re: my wife just snarled at me.
Just an update so you'll know how bad we have it.
It's 65 degrees with the windows open. We try to keep to 68-70 degrees in the winter,
so you can see we are cooler (if not better looking) this summer than we are in January.
Remembering that I like winter a lot, I'm in a great weather/place not far from
Seneca Lake. Today's high will be, maybe, high seventies and tonight probably about
65. Might go to Watkins Glen (one of the world's gorgeous places) for a hike and a
picnic. And then we'll sleep tonight with the windows open.
All in all an extraordinarily mild summer.
How about today in Dallas?

Re: my wife just snarled at me.
Gonna be 100 thousand degrees and humid here. Just another day in paradise.
My brother keeps telling us about temps and sights to see in Chicago. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. Oh how I'd love to have a summer home up north. However, transporting and housing a horse, 2 donkeys, 2 dogs, and a cat might be a little complicated.

I was standing out on the pavement talking to someone yesterday (about 5pm) for a half-hour. Didn't seem that hot. Humidity must be low.
Re: my wife just snarled at me.
I'm not jealous...65 degrees is still too cool for me. I prefer the temps in the 80's....even low 90's. I'm very cold natured.

+1 Give me the heat instead of cold any day. Just keep the humidity.
Re: my wife just snarled at me.
Today's Report: 58 degrees with 84% humidity right now. At 58 degrees
the humidity isn't relevant. The highs are in the 80s ... it gets plenty warm.
Great weather Sept thru early Jun but winters can be rugged. I happen to
enjoy winter. I really like four seasons too.
I missed the debates last nite bec I had to catch Stewart on his way out.
Fox News will be unrestrained. Oh well, the Children of Light have a
lot to do for the next year plus. If you don't have to struggle/fight
for it, it ain't worth much.
Gonna be an interesting year. I wish we could impose a 100% Truth Telling
Zone (or TTZ) on the whole bunch.
According to my sources Trump was good last nite. Within that venue
anyhow.
A Tall Drink of Water wishing y'all great day.

Not what I heard about Trump. I watched part of it and recorded all of it. I have never been a Trump fan...IMHO, he's a loose cannon who doesn't know when to shut his mouth. He may call it non PC, but to me that is not the right words for it. I don't think we need a loose cannon for president no matter how entertaining he might be. Maybe he should try running for a lesser office first. But then we would know what he really is....

Even if he should, God forbid, win the man is still a loser. I still think he will ultimately dig himself into too deep a hole with his out of control mouth.

I heard cheers when he bragged about calling Rosie O Donnell names. Yep, I don't care for Rosie either and could laugh at the Donald messing with her. But he won't stop at shooting his mouth off only about her. He went after meghan kelly last night too. Dumb, IMHO. Not who I want running our country.
