Here's a list right off the top of my head of the worst songs I can remember.
It might be fun to see how our opinions differ.
1. Tell Laura I Love Her - Ray Peterson
2. Only in America - Jay and the Americans
3. In the Year 2525 - Zager and Evans
4. A Horse With No Name - America
5. American Woman - The Guess Who
6. War - Edwin Starr
7. Brand New Key - Terry Jacks
8. People - Barbra Streisand
9. Danke Schoen - Wayne Newton
10. Sugar Shack - Jimmy Gilmer and the Fireballs

Don't have time for a whole list, but Send in the Clowns and Muskrat Love are two I can't stand.

I kinda liked Melanie's "Brand New Key", however I could see how it could be irritating.

I had it wrong- Brand New Key was Melanie- Don't know where I got Terry Jacks. He did Seasons In The Sun- another inane song.
