We didn't have a record player until I was a teen. (It was a portable - turquoise blue and white I imagine it was purchased with babysitting money. It was STEREO!!! The 2 little speakers) California Dreamin' was the first 45 I bought. (Had a boyfriend from CA.)
First LP was Arthur Lyman's Taboo that I borrowed from a neighbor. Absolutely amazing listening in stereo. I now have it on CD.

I'll have to get out my 45 box and look but I think it's The Chipmunk Song. Also have the Chipmunks first album - it was red vinyl.

Didn't the FBI blast the Chipmunks, trying to flush the Branch Davidians out during the Waco standoff?
