The Boy Scouts (of which I was one) were founded on a strong abiding belief in God, and for the most part were founded by those following Judeo-Christian values. They have now abandoned these guiding principals. Will there be a BSA 25 years from now, or have they just committed suicide?

The Boy Scouts as we knew them are dead.

What they will look like in 25 years is anybody's guess.

Having many grandchildren, I do see peer pressure on teens now days. Being bi or gay or lesbian is now cool. That IS peer pressure, believe me.

That shows the power of media propaganda. When I was a teen there was nothing ever said about homosexuals. It was something that wasn't talked about publicly. I knew instinctively it was a perversion and not something I wanted anything to do with.

I've known at least two girls in the last ten years who announced they were lesbian or bi. They both seem to be perfectly straight now.

You must have lived in a very sheltered world. I'm 67 and have known about homosexuality since I was a pre teen.........and I lived in a pretty danged sheltered world.

in my time 'queers' were whispered about and warnings were given to kids by smart parents .

I guess I was sheltered too. I remember hearing some kids in high school tease a girl whose name was "gay". But I was naive and really didn't get it. Probably didn't really understand it until I got to college. It was all over television like it is now. My husband found out when he was 14 and working a summer job at Phil's deli in Oak lawn. He had an older guy hitting on him to go watch movies at his house. The owner finally ran the guy off. My husband knew Phil himself pretty well too.

Mormons are probably out . Think that 'traillife' might be a good alternative .

And it's people like that who made life hell for gay kids - many of whom have killed themselves because of the cruelty of others. My brother was beaten up at school at least once and he had done nothing but walk down the hall. I would have gladly beaten the hell out of the "straight" kids who abused him. No excuse for the cruelty - none!

parents would point out the Sickos all the time . Its part of a parents job and still is Sue . Ministers , police , clergy , parents , teachers all knew about the sick kids , no one abused them or was calling for their abuse Sue . Parents just told their kids [whispered] that some kids were queer so its best to stay away from them . Still a good rule for smart parents Sue !!

It isn't my view or interpretation. Homosexuality is forbidden in the Bible. You or I may or may not like this, but that is what is written.

that's probably an older Bible with the actual original words in it . New style -- MODERN -- 'and inclusive bibles' have been written and distributed throughout the world . They are 'sodomy' friendly and were created to tickle the ears / eyes of their readers .
