I had to euthanize my best friend yesterday morning

Cooper my Golden Retriever had been ill all year and been fading for the last month. I know it was the only decision ( refused all food for 2 days, little movement for 24hrs) it also will haunt me for a long time.
A little before it was time to leave Cooper got up and looked for his leash, I grabbed it but didn't put it on. Out thru the garage to the graveyard behind our house we walked. Coop walked the same small area he did 10 years ago our first day together then ran to my wife.
He was a hell of a dog and my best friend.

Sorry to hear that. Loosing pets is very sad. We lost 1 of our 2 Siamese cats a few months ago.

Our condolences.

Losing a pet is so hard....they are such loving friends.

Had to do that to the families dog, who was able to live 16 wonderful years. It was hard to be sure. It was the right thing to do though. His quality of a good life was gone before I was brave enough to do the right thing.

Sorry for the loss my friend.

I am so sorry. I know it is a gut-wrenching thing to do. But, it is a true sign of love and respect.

Sorry to hear about your dog. I have a senior 16 yr old cat who has been with me through more thin than thick. I worry about losing him.

Sorry to hear man. They sure do work their way into our hearts. I hope you'll have good luck remembering mostly good times.

Very sorry for your lose, dogs are wonderful things and bring joy to our lives, but live such a short time.

I am so sorry. It is a tough thing for you even when you know it was the right thing to do. Loss is loss. The Pope said that our pets are waiting for us in heaven. I do hope he was right!

I, too, am so sorry for your loss. It's one of the hardest parts of life...

I hope in time, your memories will all be happy ones. But it takes a while.
