Needed to get out so we hit the atm headed up central and visited Choctaw.

That place has grown in the 6 or 7 years since we last visited, I recall when it was a smoke filled room with what seemed like 100 really bad machines ooh so many years ago. Wife likes video poker, I'm a sucker for penny slots that make noise. In no time money starts disappearing as we wander around. Wife decides to look in a store and I pick a machine right outside, it did nothing the first time and second time, third time it started making noise, ooh buddy 12 free spins, lights noise and the result was $240 . Cash out and we go eat lunch. Wander back to the video poker machines and wife hits 4 of a kind for $100. Twas nice to take some money home with us.

John, we're the opposite. I LOVE penny slots but not the way-out ones that are way to complicated for me to understand. If there aren't any regular ones, I do those crazy ones and just sit there and watch all the action, then I know what I won.

Hubs loves video poker and he's usually pretty successful. The funniest thing happened once. I ended up playing video poker kind of kattycorner to him. I hit 4 of a kind and was trying to get his attention. He wouldn't respond. And finally when his light went on, he said "I hit a royal flush!" Now he plays max and I only bet a quarter. However, we hit the cashier and ran out of there like we'd stolen the money! I have no idea why and still laugh about it.
Even funnier was when he was shoving $100 bills in all the many zipper compartments in his suit case. ONE YEAR later, we were at the coast and he was looking for something in his suitcase and pulled out $100 bill. "Where did this come from?" He never even thought about those hundreds he'd put in there about a year before!

We had written off Choctaw back in those days, too. The smoke would kill you and I *thought* I'd won but the floor person came over and said "You need to have a bingo pattern." I was disgusted. But we've gone back and it's totally different and fun now.
