Oh my goodness, dances at the Austin Athletic Club. Lights low, "boyfriend" (he was my dance boyfriend and I wore his jacket for about a day. We never talked to each other. His sister told me he wanted me to wear his jacket. We were in junior high.) dancing with me in the gym - wearing our socks of course. So romantic..........at least to a early teen.

One more.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nm4YlZ3oYsQI so clearly remember my best friend, who had just bought the Beatles first album, and I listening to the music and looking at the album cover while working to figure out which Beatle was which. Ah, sweet memories..............and Paul was oh so lovely to look at.

Sleep Walk is a great song. It was the last #1 hit of the 50s.
Theme From a Summer Place and Stranger on the Shore were two other good dance songs.

Oh YES! Thanks for sharing. Love 'em both! Geeeeeeeee, we're old!
I am not a fan of the clarinet usually but this was a lovely song and great use of the instrument by a very talented guy.
I've watched Summer Place several times over the years. Yeah, a little schmaltzy but it was all in all a good movie.

I'm still being careful what I'm nostalgic about.

Stranger on the Shore was the first U.S. hit by a Brit. It was the early beginning of the British Invasion.
Great song.
