Trump Booted From Debate

I have tried to give a great deal of latitude to Donald Trump in his run for the Presidency.

He is not a professional politician and is known for being a blunt talker. He connects with so much of the anger in the Republican base and is not afraid to be outspoken on a lot of issues. But there are even lines blunt talkers and unprofessional politicians should not cross.

Decency is one of those lines.

As much as I do personally like Donald Trump, his comment about Megyn Kelly on CNN is a bridge too far for me.

In a CNN interview, Mr. Trump said of Megyn Kelly, “You could see there was blood coming out of her eyes. Blood coming out of her wherever.”

It was not the “blood coming out of her eyes” part that was the problem.

I think there is no way to otherwise interpret Mr. Trump’s comment. In an attempted clarification, Mr. Trump’s team tells me he meant “whatever”, not “where ever.”

The other day, we sent out the agenda for the RedState Gathering. The file had been saved with the “final” tag and the Washington sent it out. But it still had Governor Deal on the agenda and it did not have Donald Trump on it. Obviously, it wasn’t the final.

I called Mr. Trump’s campaign manager and apologized and told him I felt bad for Mr. Trump because he has gotten so much sh*t from so many people and the party itself wasn’t treating the guy at the front of the pack as legitimate.

I think that is true. And I’ve been very sympathetic to Donald Trump because so many of the people who have led the party astray refuse to even treat him as a legitimate candidate.

But I also think that while Mr. Trump resonates with a lot of people with his bluntness, including me to a degree, there are just real lines of decency a person running for President should not cross.

His comment was inappropriate. It is unfortunate to have to disinvite him. But I just don’t want someone on stage who gets a hostile question from a lady and his first inclination is to imply it was hormonal. It just was wrong.

I have invited Megyn Kelly to attend in Donald Trump’s place tomorrow night.

This is Eric Erickson who invited and then disinvited Trump to the Red State debate. He also didn't invite Santorum, Carson, Graham, and Kashich. Also, he may be leaving Red State which he sold 18 months ago.

If you read my posts, I don't adore Trump. I don't even like him. I wish he would go away.
I just think the issue in question is a fake- nothing there.
He'll make a fatal blunder, sooner or later. This is not it.

I read he resigned over Trumps conduct during the debate.
Supposedly he and Trump had planned a debate strategy that Trump didn't try to follow.
I don't think Trump needs professional advice. He's rewriting the campaign strategy book.

Notice it's the men who weren't offended. Gee, I wonder why. The restaurant that we were at, with fellow conservatives was in an uproar when he dissed Megyn Kelly. OK, I think he's the biggest a$$, but I wasn't alone in that restaurant. It was so loud in there that I only heard his first words......
If there's a woman in the US that votes for him, she's also an a$$. I did hear from a few female family members. One was quite a fan and then after that, she put "I'm done with him! I don't trust him!" on her facebook status. My daughter started off liking him, but she's changed her mind. I didn't remind her of the er, uh, disagreement we had over him early on.

Yep, I can't imagine there are many women still clinging to him after this week. Cannot begin to imagine the damage that can be done by a prez who goes off on a woman in power, heck or anyone in power. A president who chooses to ignore his advisors in order to prove he is an ass is a dangerous presence in this or any country. Look at what a laughing stock North Korea is because of a ruler who behaves like a 10 year old.

'Mess with the bull, you’re going to get the horns, sweetheart': Trump Iowa campaigner says 'Bloodgate' attack on Megyn Kelly was 'fair game'

A Donald Trump official leading his political campaign in Iowa has said his attacks on Fox News host Megyn Kelly are 'fair game'.

Tana Goertz, his campaign co-chair in the battleground state, said that she was not offended by Trump's suggestion that Kelly asked him tough questions because there was 'blood coming out of her wherever'.
Goertz instead said the abuse is part of political debate, saying: 'If you mess with the bull you're going to get the horns, sweetheart'.
Trump's comments, made Friday night in a CNN segment where he also called her a 'lightweight' and 'overrated', were widely interpreted as a crude reference to Kelly's menstrual cycle.
He has since claimed he was referring to her nose.
Goertz, whose association with Trump began when she appeared on season three of The Apprentice, told BuzzFeed News that she was 'not offended' by the statement, and does not think it is about her period.
She said: 'You know with Mr Trump, he believes that he responds to men and women with equal intensity so you know Megyn was attacking him at the debate and he just fired back. It’s fair game.'
Meanwhile Trump was roundly criticized for the remarks by other Republican candidates, members of the public, and even his own staff.

Heck of course she's backing him - he's paying her and it looks like she lacks class just like her boss........and she's probably taken plenty of abuse from him. At first I thought she must be a twitty young woman. Nope, she's in her 40s. Too old to still be that stupid.
