We have been out of Bailey's for about a month. I kept putting off making the drive to the liquor store. I finally went yesterday and restocked wine, scotch, vodka, tequila and Bailey's. This first cup of morning is wonderful.

The cohorts are really singing this morning. I have heard the from three different directions. I love their sound.

It's actually 77 degrees this morning in far north Plano. 2 degrees cooler than in the house. :D

That was supposed to say coyotes. Auto-correct strikes again.

I loved "cohorts".

It was 68 outside this a.m. here. Cooler outside than in the house. Amazing for August.

However we are being invaded by fire ants. They are prowling the couch and end tables. This morning I killed 7. Don't know what to use for perimeter control.

Our crappy builder didn't seal base plates or anything else so insects are a constant problem in the house. Makes my skin crawl and I don't know what to do about it. Guess I need to call a pest control company but the last time I used one my dogs got sick.

I love me some Bailey's but haven't had any in a long while. And the knock offs are NOT as good IMHO.

Mix equal parts of liquid dishwasher soap and white vinegar. Spray it around your baseboards. If an ant crawls through it, it kills almost on contact.
If you see them, spray it on them and it'll kill them quick.

Hadn't heard that one. Guess it won't hurt carpet, huh? Thanks. I'll try it.

My sister has always used boric acid but I wasn't dying to sprinkle it on the carpeted areas...........well heck, or anywhere for that matter. Stupid builder should have put it behind the baseboards. Stupid builder!!!!!

No it won't hurt carpet. My wife uses almost the same solution to spot clean carpet.
